This Tossed Green Salad includes a very simple salad dressing recipe that's delicious, fresh, and slightly creamy but also low in fat and calories.
Ingredients:
1 head lettuce
1 cucumber, sliced
2 tomatoes medium, sliced
1 red or green sliced in rings
½ cup croûtons
How to make Tossed Green Salad
1.Arrange bite-size pieces of lettuce in a platter. Garnish with slices of cucumber, tomatoes, croutons and red or green pepper rings.
2. Just before serving, toss lightly with French Dressing or Thousand Island Dressing.
Good for 4 persons.
Tip: If you're making a larger salad, consider doubling the dressing recipe (you can keep any extra in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks - just place it into a covered jar).
